Skills
Research
I have learnt to understand what my target audiences want and how they view the world. This means to master planning, conducting, and analysing findings from a variety of research methods, specifically talking to users.
Information Architecture
I learnt to organise information in an understandable manner to my audience. Although I specify in web design, I understand that it applies to apps, printed material, software, spaces and more.

Wireframing
This was one of my favourite things to learn and practice within the UX sphere. I have learnt that the wireframe is essentially the blueprint of a screen. It's not about how it looks, but how it's laid out and how it intends to work. I have practised mostly low to medium wireframes.

Prototyping
This was my favourite thing to practice within the UX TechDegree. As a graphic designer, playing with layout, spacing, colours and elements is what I thrive on. Working on a prototype allowed me to test functionality. I had dabbled in Adobe XD before but after this course I know I can use it to prototype quickly and effectively.

Visual Communication
My experience in Graphic Design definitely applied here and helped me understand and connect a lot of design theory/concepts to UX fundamentals. I was able to bring my previous knowledge in layouts, colour, typography, images and theory to the table.

Empathy
The most important thing I have learnt from this degree is that empathy is paramount to being a successful UX Designer. The ability to understand and feel the emotions of others is important when we are designing experiences for them. I believe that a deeper understanding of target uses enables us to design end products that truly delight.
